Tolerability of Different Dose Levels of Memantine
(Source: Doc Guide) - The Research Institute for the Care of the Elderly (Bath, UK) conducted a study to assess the safety and tolerability of three different dosing schedules of memantine in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. The results indicated that once-daily dosing and twice-daily dosing are similar in terms of safety and tolerability.

However, the sample size of the study was relatively small. In order to confirm the results, more research is needed.
